On the ini­tia­tive of Prof. Dr. Jalid Sehouli and Prof. Dr. Wern­er Licht­eneg­ger the “North-East Ger­man Soci­ety for Gyne­co­log­i­cal Oncol­o­gy” was found­ed in Berlin in 1998. An asso­ci­a­tion of over 800 spe­cial­ists from clin­ics and med­ical practices.

The qual­i­ty of life of can­cer patients is the focus of the activ­i­ties of this asso­ci­a­tion of gyne­co­log­i­cal oncol­o­gy with the largest num­ber of members.

At nation­al and inter­na­tion­al lev­el, inter­dis­ci­pli­nary knowl­edge from research and prac­tice is bun­dled, fur­ther devel­oped and dis­sem­i­nat­ed in a society.
